James Cropper today announces that on 30 July 2014, the date of the Company’s forthcoming Annual General Meeting, John Denman, the Company’s Finance Director, will be retiring and Isabelle Maddock will be appointed to the board and promoted to the role of Group Finance Director.
Isabelle joined James Cropper in 2006 as Group Financial Controller and has served as Head of Finance since September 2013. Prior to joining James Cropper Isabelle’s previous roles included UK Finance Controller at a publishing company, CGP Limited and Finance Manager for Haden Building Management Limited at the New Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh advising on the contracts held for the provision of all the non-clinical support services to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary Private Finance Initiative. Isabelle is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
Commenting on the board changes, Mr. Phil Wild, Chief Executive Officer, said, “John has served James Cropper with distinction for 19 years. On behalf of the board I would like to extend our gratitude for the considerable commitment he has made to the Company and wish him well for his retirement.
“We are proud that Isabelle has accepted the invitation to join the board of the Company and we look forward to her contribution. Isabelle has been a member of the senior management team for a number of years and has had an instrumental role in developing a number of the Company’s new initiatives.”
Mrs Isabelle Marguerite Maddock, aged 46, has an interest in 9,097 ordinary shares in the Company representing approximately 0.001% of the Company’s issued share capital. The directorships and partnerships held by Mrs Maddock over the last five years are set out below. All of these appointments are in connection with Mrs Maddock’s employment with the Company.
