Free on board PET prices down US$40 to US$1,330-1,350/tonne in Chile, fall US$100 to US$2,200-US$2,350/tonne in Argentina

LONDON , June 3, 2014 () – According to sources, prices of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) in Chile and Argentina have decreased. In Chile, PET prices (cost and freight) are at $1330-1350/tonne, down $40. The price decrease in China also reflects the prices in the western Pacific region. In Argentina, PET prices (delivered) are at $2200-2350/tonne, down $100. A graph shows the spot prices of bottle grade PET in Chile and Argentina, expressed in $/tonne.
