Switzerland-based Hoffmann Neopac to introduce new AirShield tube at Luxepack, May 12-14, in New York; tube has new valve with special protective shield function that prevents exposure to oxygen

OBERDIESSBACH, Switzerland , May 7, 2014 (press release) – Neopac will be introducing the new AirShield™ tube to a large audience for the first time at the Luxepack in New York, booth no. A28, May 12-14, 2014.

AirShield™ has a new valve in the tube with a special protective shield function that prevents all exposure to oxygen. The valve opens when pressure is exerted on the tube and closes again when the pressure abates, preventing air from flowing back into the sensitive contents.

AirShield™ is particularly suited to oxygen-sensitive contents, for beauty products or natural cosmetics. The cosmetics products retain their consistency, colour, effect just as the cosmetics manufacturers intended them for their customers. Even after the packaging has been opened and is in daily use.

AirShield™ was designed by Neopac and an international patent is pending. The valve has two components which are closely coordinated.
