LOS ANGELES , May 2, 2014 () – McDonald’s Corp. is seeking to procure 100% fiber-based packaging from certified or recycled sources by 2020, the company announced in a press release on April 30.

The announcement came as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainability Framework—the company’s goals and measurable plan to create shared value for its business and society.

In addition, the fast food chain is looking to increase in-restaurant recycling to 50% and minimize waste in nine of its top markets.
