Australian regulators approve Amcor's acquisition of flexible packaging company Aperio Group; deal expected to close in June

MELBOURNE, Australia , March 28, 2012 (press release) – Amcor notes that unconditional ACCC approval to proceed with the acquisition of Aperio Group has been received today.

The transaction is expected to close in the June 2012 quarter.

Managing Director and CEO, Mr Ken MacKenzie, said “This is a pleasing outcome as the acquisition represents an important strategic opportunity for our Asia Pacific flexible packaging business. We look forward to integrating these assets into the Amcor Group and working with our customers to deliver an improved product and service offering, particularly through innovation.”
