LOS ANGELES , November 7, 2011 () – U.K. government has awarded T&N Plastics funds to construct a new plastics production facility in Grimsby, England, PackagingNews.co.uk reported Nov. 7.

The funds were awarded in an effort to increased private investments in the U.K.

The Dublin-based, father and son run company announced it would be working with the food sector in Grimsby.

Trevor Enright, T&N Plastics director said the multi-million pound funding would create 80 jobs and maintain others throughout the supply chain, according to the article.

Because the seaport is ideal for European exports, Enright said the investment would also open up opportunities for global exports.

The company expects to start manufacturing before the end of 2011.
