LOS ANGELES , April 23, 2013 () – McDonald’s Corp. has hired 17-year-old Olympic gold medal gymnast Gabby Douglas to help promote its new egg-white breakfast sandwich, part of the burger chain's plan to make a more healthy image amid such moves as apple slices in its Happy Meals and offering a "Favorites Under 400 Calories" menu, Bloomberg LP reported April 23.

National marketing for the 250-calorie sandwich starts April 29 and will include print, billboard, radio and television ads

Douglas won the women’s gymnastics all-around gold and helped the U.S. squad win the team event in London in 2012.
