Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Development Co. to auction off 18 properties, including residential lots, commercial and recreational land, in Arkansas, Louisiana on Nov. 15-16

BOSSIER CITY, Louisiana , October 26, 2012 (press release) – On November 15 and 16, Mossy Oak Properties and Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Development Company Will Sell Hundreds of Acres of Land Throughout Arkansas and Louisiana at a Real Estate Auction Through J. P. King Auction Company

On November 15 and 16, Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Development Company will partner with J. P. King Auction Company and Mossy Oak Properties of Louisiana to sell 18 properties throughout Louisiana and Arkansas at a real estate auction. The offering includes lakefront tracts, residential lots, recreational land, commercial land and timber tracts, ranging from half-acre lakefront lots to 161-acre land.

As part of its year end disposition, Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Development Company (WREDCO) will offer 158 acres in Jackson Parish, La. The property, which sits on Highway 144, will be divided into 15 tracts, ranging from five acres to 20 acres and can be utilized for residential, recreational or timberland use. Ten tracts on Lake Erling in Arkansas, ranging from 4.6 to 10.7 acres will also be available, each with water frontage; the tracts combine for a 73-acre lot.

Selling absolute, with no minimums and no reserves, 160 acres along Highway 4 in Chatham, La., can be used for timberland or as a recreational property and includes power, water and a paved roadway.

"As part of their year-end disposition, Weyerhaeuser has listed several of the properties as an absolute sale and intend to let the buyers name their price for each property through the auction process."

Other properties in the November 15 event include 87 acres in Plain Dealing that will be divided into seven tracts and 196 acres on Old Plain Dealing Road that will be divided into five tracts. Both properties can be used for residential development, recreation or timberland.

Several other properties will also be included in the auction events, and financing will be available through local lenders that will be on site both days.

On November 16, 10 waterfront lots in the River Ridge Estates subdivision in Murfreesboro, Ark., will be available. The majority of the lots have frontage on the Little Missouri River. Ranging in size from .7 acres to six acres, three of the lots will sell absolute with no minimums and no reserves. Also selling absolute is a 36-acre lot in Hot Springs, Ark., known as Ten Mile West.

The auctions will begin on November 15 at 11 a.m. at the Horseshoe Casino and Hotel in Bossier City, La., while the November 16 event will take place at the Embassy Suites in Hot Springs, Ark.
