Mondi's industrial bags plant in Steti, Czech Republic, receives FSC certification

STETI, Czech Republic , March 22, 2012 (press release) – Mondi’s industrial bags plant in Štětí has successfully been certified according to FSC® standards as of December 2011. This certification enhances Mondi´s commitment to sustainable forestry and responds to customer demands.

The certification at Mondi´s Industrial Bag plant in Štětí is in line with the market demand for sustainable packaging and further extends Mondi Green Range of industrial bags. “Mondi’s FSC® certified bags present clear, informative labelling. Customers can now ensure their packaging is certified and issued from sustainable sources”, says Jana Podubecka, Managing Director Mondi Bags Štětí. “This is a clear advantage for our customers and end users as they can easily recognise packaging sourced sustainably”, she adds.

FSC® certifications
FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) promotes sustainably managed forests through independent third party certification. This offers customers and consumers the option to choose products from environmentally and socially responsible and economically viable forestry.
