  • Kitwanga Lumber Company Profile

The village of Kitwanga is located 91 kilometres east of the city of Terrace, in the North Coast region of BC. The site of a future large-scale processing facility, our assets in the region include a forest license providing harvest rights to substantial and underdeveloped biomass forest resources. Kitwanga is located in the Kispiox timber supply area (“TSA”) of BC. With total annual harvesting rights of over 1,000,000 m³, the Kispiox TSA provides a significant source of available fibre. The TSA is largely comprised of decadent hemlock forest, which reduces the suitability for traditional forestry operations but significantly increases the amount of fibre available for biomass applications. Preliminary development work is underway for a world-scale wood pellet processing facility.
